Genealogy:
The Black River History Room is located in the Black River Falls Public Library
one block west of the Buswell Funeral Home. The History Room offers extensive
family files. It is open weekdays from 1-5 p.m. and Monday evenings until 8 p.m.

Located in the former Carnegie Library building at 319 Main St., the Jackson County
Historical Society Museum is open to the public on Fridays and Saturdays, from
11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. It is also

Old Time Funeral Display
The Museum features many interesting and educational exhibits and displays from
earlier times in Jackson County. Included is an old time funeral display that
depicts a home wake/visitation. Many of the items in the funeral display were
donated by Charles and Ruth Buswell. |
